But, mediocre copy won’t cut it. We’d rather insert, “lorem ipsum” or “blah, blah, blah” in our client’s ads than generic, uninspiring copy that nobody wants to read. Our clients deserve great copy that yields results. Think you can deliver?
Speaking of clients, we have LOTS of them. So, it’s important to be adept at writing copy for businesses in vastly different verticals. For example, you might write ads for a hospital, casino, law firm, sperm bank, plumbing company and a college in the same week. If that kind of variety doesn’t intimidate you, we’d like to tell you more.
The Digital Advertising Copywriter is responsible for brainstorming and transforming ideas into effective copy for digital marketing campaigns, including banner ads, social media ads, landing pages, websites, email blasts, newsletters, articles and digital marketing collateral.
Location: excelerate Digital is headquartered in downtown Raleigh, NC. However, we’re open to the position being remote for the right candidate.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Work with Client Success Strategists to determine each client’s needs;
- Collaborate with the creative team to develop clear, persuasive campaigns across multiple digital platforms and throughout the client’s online presence.
- Partner with digital designers and strategists to ensure copy, design and SEO/SEM are aligned for all campaigns;
- Develop well-rounded strategic direction & concepts through understanding the client’s voice, messaging and current strategy, as well as learning about their industry;
- Revise, edit and proofread content as needed or directed by client and creative team;
- Respond to feedback in a timely manner;
- Work within tight deadlines;
- Research competitors and keep abreast of market trends.
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in English, journalism or marketing;
- 3+ years of copywriting, advertising and digital media experience preferred;
- Online portfolio of writing samples required;
- Meticulous editor with exceptional command of English grammar, spelling and punctuation;
- Open minded, positive and enthusiastic;
- Excellent time-management and communication skills;
- Agency experience preferred.
