About the Role:

The Social Media and Community Manager is one of our first hires in New York City and as such is one of the most exciting and important roles in the company. You will be responsible for establishing the WOMANBOSS voice and visual identity on all social platforms. You’ll be a strong cross-functional partner, while ensuring consistency in our brand personality. We want you to connect with, engage, and inspire new and existing audiences in a way that builds interest and loyalty while also driving conversions. Candidates should be entrepreneurial, energetic, and self-sufficient.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Business Manger and Marketing team to create WOMANBOSS social strategy
  • Lead implementation of social strategy and marketing plans
  • Create and manage social media and marketing campaign calendar
  • Build visuals and content from the ground up
  • Contact and recruit relevant influencers to be a part of the WOMANBOSS community
  • Manage all social platforms with a focus on Instagram
  • Identify and source partnership opportunities with relevant organizations
  • Represent WOMANBOSS at various industry and community events
  • Deliver against monthly metric-driven targets


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years previous experience in a social media management role
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and working on simultaneous projects
  • Keen awareness of the intricacies of social media platforms and the algorithms that govern them
  • Understanding of the latest trends in female empowerment, fashion, beauty, wellness, etc.
  • Established network of creatives online and in NY area
  • Strategic and creative mindset, understanding the desired ROI and being able to maximize resources to drive the highest impact
  • Experience working with teams across different time zones ideal but not required
